This water meter assembly is used to measure cold potable water on fire protection applications where the flow is in one direction only. It is also used to detect leakage or unauthorized use of water in fire sprinkler systems. This meter is hard piped on the bypass line of a 2 1/2 to 4 inch double check detector with straight pattern valves and measures water flow in gallons per minute (GPM). The meter size is 5/8 x 3/4 inch and the flow rate is 0.25 to 27 gallons per minute.
